“Gatlinburg Trip: Day One”

The Official Ripley’s Day PT 1
The Ripley’s Aquarium

Finally, an attraction my son could really enjoy. This place was amazing and it was laid out in the traditional manner that many Ripley’s museums are laid out – a labyrinth of passages and ramps. If you’ve ever been, you’d know what I’m talking about. There was “close” encounters with sharks, and turtles were definitely present.

World Guinness

Another Ripley’s attraction, which featured a wax figure of our great President, President Trump (yes, I’m a fan), Ripley’s World Guinness attraction. What was awesome about this place was the interactive features – you had a chance to set your own records. And if you were good enough, you’d be immortalized (until someone came along and beat you).

Some fun about town…
My pirate name… Fishface McSquidy Greencheeks! Hey – don’t knock it… I might use it.
Fall in the Smokies. Definitely a great backdrop for this trip.

We wrapped up the day with dinner from Bubba Gump. Great time, as always. Great food, as expected. The Bubba Gump staff even caught onto the idea that I was intentionally dressed like “Waldo.” That shirt is now an important memory.

All I can say – Gatlinburg has yet to let me down. I’m having a great time.
